Bear Den Aspen - Denver

Bear Den Aspen is closed for the off season. We had a reservation for a special occasion on a Friday night. Nobody let us know they were closed. Very disappointed in the lack of communication.

The wait staff seemed to by trying but they appeared frazzled despite the lack of busyness. Our server didn’t know what ingredients were in my dish and failed to bring a shell bowl leaving us to use a used cocktail glass for mussel shells. We were surprised by the lack of service and attention given the high reviews and also this is Aspen. The food and location were great.

The only outdoor restaurant we’ve ever visited with no heaters in the evening. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and were charged for a bottle. Onion soup was not good. First time I’ve ever not finished it as an appetizer. Food was ok, but got cold very quickly in 50 degree weather. Not a great place to recommend.

Amazing cocktails and apps in a super cute cottage setting! Perfect for apres!

This is one of our favorite! Adorable inside and out. Food and service is wonderful. The pasta is so good!
