Rio was behind the bar and was very helpful with choosing which sakes to try! They have dry, spicy, sweet, so there's a Sake for everyone! They also do Sake flights and cocktails!I don't come across Sake breweries terribly often in the US, so this was a real treat! They have patio seating, which is dog friendly, and a super cool Jazz band on Thursdays. They have many vegetarian options, most of which can be vegan.
Colorado Sake Co is the first sake brewery I’ve ever been too. I’m a huge fan of sake so I had to stop by here to check out their sake on tap. They have about 13 sakes on tap. We decided to get a half flight of the sakes. A half flight is 2.5 oz pour of 4 different sakes.American Standard this is their flagship sake. It is a classic sake. It is smooth to me. I could sip on this with sushi or just to wind down from work.OG Nigori I love unfiltered sakes. This is their standard unfiltered sake. It’s very smooth and is a pretty good unfiltered. I enjoy it.Key Lime Pie my husband loved this sake. He said it is a tart key lime pie the way it should be. It’s like drinking a homemade key lime pie from a good restaurant.Barrel Aged is their sake that is aged in Pinot Nior barrel. I really enjoyed this sake. I’m a dry red wine drinker and this sake did not disappoint. With the 4 sakes we had in the flight, we enjoyed them a lot. This place has something for everyone. If you’ve never tried sake before, I think this is the perfect place to try unique blends. If I live in Colorado I would definitely come here often. On Sunday they do have a dim sum brunch as well. This is a place I would highly recommend for the sake.We didn’t get food since but everything smelled really good and looked amazing. I can’t wait to visit here again.
The staff... specifically Shelby and Tori were so amazingly informative and helpful. Never having done a sake tasting their knowledge helped me make some delicious choices. We sampled many items on the menu from 3 different sashimi's to the edamame dumplings (Tori's recommendation) were delicious. A MUST visit if you're in the RiNo area
Love this place! Absolutely zero complaints. Wife surprised me with a stay in Rino for Father’s Day with Colorado Sake being the main reason for the stay. I’m a sake enthusiast at home. Everything we tried was amazing. We spent a couple of hours and did a couple of flights along with some Kanzake(warm sake) and tried 5-6 different izikaya dishes and they were all amazing. We stumbled upon a comedy show that we didn’t even know was happening which was absolutely hilarious. I loved the place so much, I ended up going back in the morning for round 2 and tried the remaining flavors I missed the night before.Met Taylor and she was incredibly attentive and helped us get through the rest of the flavors so we could pick the 6 bottles I wanted to take home as well as recommending some amazing food options. They had ran out of take home bottles and she did everything in her power to figure out a way for me to be able to bring home the bottles we wanted. Thankfully the owner came in with more bottles right before we left. All in all, one of the best Father’s Day trips I’ve had, such good food and the best drinks.I can’t wait to go down there again. Unfortunately I have a feeling I am going to have a hard time drinking the traditional sake I’m used to because this slightly different version is so damn good!Again shoutout to Taylor and the crew for taking the greatest care of us.This place rocks!!!
3.5 for me. Place was ridiculously hot inside and a little chaotic. You order at the bar/counter and grab whatever seat is available. Self serve tap water that was warm because the space was so damn hot inside was not cool at least stick some ice in the jar please. Has a very NYC Brooklyn hipster vibe, which felt a bit dingy but the staff seemed to clean the tables fairly regularly and tidy up. The sushi was fresh and tasty, a little heavy handed with the seasoning but overall solid. The vegetarian pickled veggie sushi was really interesting and different. Staff is pretty hands off unless you've ordered a drink or a meal and weren't pushy about getting you out of your table just after the last morsel of food was gone from your plate.
