The restaurant was very busy with many customers, but the line was well organized and moved quickly. The restaurant was surrounded by smaller temples. There was a large, ancient banyan tree that provided shade and added to the peaceful atmosphere. Visitors should be cautious of monkeys, although they did not bother the customers.
Returning in July 2016, I found that the new experienced cook had prepared the same Dal in two unique ways - Dal Tadka and Dal Handi. I highly recommend trying the Dal Handi as it was absolutely delicious.
The temple has a lot of rush of devotees. But the queue was well managed and fast moving. There were small temples surrounding the premise. There is a very big and old banyan tree which gives shade to devotees as well as creates a beautiful pious ambience.Caution - presence of monkeys - though they don't create nuisance for devotees.
