The restaurant was a mess with overflowing bins and dirty tables. It took 20 minutes to make my wrap because the staff seemed to prioritize Uber Eats orders. The food was poorly handled, with a staff member rubbing his nose and using his fingers to handle the meat. My wrap only had one piece of chicken, and when I raised the issue, the staff laughed and did not offer an apology. I received a new wrap but decided to throw it away as I did not trust the cleanliness of the kitchen. I will never return to this restaurant. It was a terrible experience.
Visited this McDonalds off Frank Whittle Way in Derby on Sunday 21st for dinner and found a long queue for the drive-thru, so waited 10 mins and placed our order for four meals costing over £25, then eventually asked to wait. I asked where I should park and the lady just looked vacant and said anywhere, we 'll find you . Ok so it was really busy with people waiting and Ubereats drivers (with their cool bags) but I managed to find a space back around near the drive-thru. Nobody came out for 15 minutes so I became frustrated and went inside... again there was a massive queue waiting to be served but eventually I got to the front and was told someone will bring our food out ASAP. Five minutes later a guy came out with our meals and we opened the bag to find two out of the four burgers were stone cold! I just couldn 't be bothered to go back inside and wait yet again so we just gave up and left. Its not the first time we 've had bad service at this Meteor McDonalds that to me is one of the worst run I have ever known. In future we 'll drive further away to Markeaton or just go to Burger King, KFC or the new Tim Hortons, they do not deserve our business.
1400-1500 After an Uber eats sealed delivery. Items were missing from McDonald’s. Mainly a cheeseburger missing from a child who was very upset. Out of a £42.57 order I was missing £13 worth of food. Spoke to the staff at counter to a very un-caring shift manager insinuated I was a liar and it wasn’t missing. And it was. I wouldn’t have used £7 of fuel for £1.29 cheeseburger. It angered me. Tried speaking to the other shift manager Lauren who was a bit more who seemed a little bit nicer, however, still Didn’t help my situation. I don’t think this is a way to speak to the customers. So I spoke to a friend who was a former employee at this particular restaurant. He assured me non of the staff are hygienic and they go for cigarettes and don’t wash their hands. Sweat drips into the food and is served to customers. Coughing and sneezing on the food work station and not cleaning. Males masturbate In the toilets and they don’t wash their hands. On Saturday nights the female staff put the buns in the rear side of their trousers to simulate bum implants and it’s served to customers. I’m absolutely gobsmacked by the staff and service.
I stopped by for breakfast at this restaurant and opted for a takeaway. Ordering at the register was fast and convenient, and my food was made right in front of me. McDonald's is known for its consistent quality, making it a reliable choice for a quick meal. It's worth a visit every now and then.
