Nicky was extremely helpful in explaining their gift wrapping service and late night opening in preparation for Christmas. I found the gifts, accessories etc to be of very good quality and reasonably priced. The Christmas decorations were a bit more classy than depending upon moving parts and lights to make them appealing! I know this sounds as though someone connected with the shop has written the review, but I'm really an ordinary punter who enjoyed the experience!
I've been lunching with family and friends at The Bottle Kiln for a couple of decades. It's a great mix of quality giftware and a good resaurant. I recently ordered a fritatta, which was beautifully prepared. Entrees and coffee are consistently good (I never have room for dessert). The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I highly recommend The Bottle Kiln.
Called in today and had a jacket potato one topped with vegan chilli and one topped with avocado and chilli jam. Best jacket potato we've ever had, the chilli was amazing, the avocado and chilli jam, just superb, massive jacket potatoes and a lovely tasty side salad. Excellent cappuccino with oatmilk and tea the same. To finish off we shared a slice of vegan lemon drizzle cake, and it was outstanding, just so moist and zingy, beautiful. After dinner we had a walk around the Tranquil garden, wow, just such an amazing space, really special. Then we had a look around the gift shops, lots to look at clothes, jewelry, books, gifts etc... We are already planning to go back for a vegan breakfast, hopefully in the Tranquil garden. But the overall ambience of the Bottle Kiln is that it feels very safe. All of the staff are excellent and are a credit to the Bottle Kiln. But just brilliant thank you
Visited today (with my springer spaniel) and sat in the lovely gardens. However, we were asked to move as dogs were not allowed in the gardens. Asked to move to the dog friendly area, which is basically 2 benches and 2 tables at the side of the entrance. I asked why dogs were not allowed and the lady just said it has always been that way. I really think this needs reviewing. Dogs are such a huge part of life nowadays, and most places have adjusted to this. I won't be visiting again for this reason.
A great stylish place to shop, eat and eat. eating here is great! I have never tasted such a delicious homemade quiche. to be fair, all eating is a high standard and the restaurant is operated like a clockwork. the woman who seems to be responsible is very efficient. there are 2 beautiful gift shops available on site with clothing, jewellery, cards and all kinds of attractive. there is also a beautiful garden and outdoor seating with a quiet zen as feel. recommend this beautiful place.
