I was in the Cottage Craft Cafe yesterday. Very disappointing. I ordered a chicken pesto sandwich but didn't want peppers, cheese, mayonnaise or pesto sauce due to dietary requirements. I asked for tomatoes instead and was told there would be an additional charge of £1.20. for tomatoes. This charge was related to me, not by the waitress taking my order, but by another waitress who rudely interrupted the former. Not only was it embarrassing it was uncalled for. No Derry welcome here. Needless to say I cancelled order and left.
Very nice and clean with a touch of class. Food was amazing and staff are excellent. Staff said hi and bye to everyone.. Real nice feeling to this. Keep up the great work.
This must surely be the best lunch place in Derry — any city would be lucky to have such an option. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the white chocolate and raspberry scone was “the best scone [my Mum has] ever tasted.” And that lady knows her scones.
Go here! Met some family for a cuppa and ended up getting some scones. To say they were delicious would be an understatement. The staff were amazing, particularly their star baker who kindly spent some time talking to our parents about making a decent scone. Coffee also good and really nice outdoor setting. Make this a stop in your tour of Derry!
