Abelardo's Mexican Fresh - Des Moines

The food was extremely salty, but it was served hot with generous portions. While some dishes were delicious, the beef burrito was a bit underwhelming.

Since the restaurant changed ownership, the quality of their steak has been extremely poor. Every time I have visited, the steak has been filled with fat and completely inedible. I complained about this during my most recent visit, but even though there were a few decent pieces, it was still well below standard. The portion sizes have decreased, they include all the fat that is usually removed, charge extra for sauces, and the "carne asada fries" or "Super Fries" cost over $13. It is far too expensive to not be able to enjoy the meal. The restaurant is being greedy and I should have asked for a refund.

The food was excellent and the service was top-notch. The restaurant is family-friendly and they serve generous portions. I highly recommend it.

Definitely not the best ever I know however Albalardos has always been there when I needed you. We have had late nights early mornings and everything in-between...I think I love you Not gonna lie, Albalardos is a staple in my life lol. I definitely recommend the Carne Asada Super Nachos, Carne Asada Super Fries or the Carne plate. Ingersoll location is by far the best location I have been to so far.

A Mexican restaurant that doesn't send chips and salsa with your order? I was wrong in thinking they all did. Food cold and spilled all over bag. May have been grub hubs fault. Taste- just okay. Sad. Really wanted the quac I ordered. And really wanted chips and salsa. At least salsa to put on my food.
