Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Des Moines

I recently visited a restaurant on Eastern 14th Street in Des Moines, and I was truly impressed by the staff. They were exceptionally polite and made sure my order was fresh. It was clear that everyone was working hard and staying busy! I had some negative experiences here in the past, but it seems the place has undergone improvements since then. It was operating like a well-run fast food chain. The staff at the front desk were wonderful and provided the best service I’ve had in a while! Having lived near Des Moines for 43 years, I can confidently say that I will be recommending this restaurant and returning often following this last visit. A special shoutout to Ashley at the front—she was fantastic! Thank you for such great service!

It hasn't changed in the 42 years I've been going to Pope. The good old southern fried chicken and the red beans and rice are fantastic. If you haven't tried it yet, don't just leave and go to another place—give it a chance! That's just my opinion, but I highly recommend trying it soon.

The chicken was crispy, even with delivery. We weren’t particularly impressed by the Mac n' cheese, but that’s just our perspective. It was overly cheesy and greasy, if you can believe that! The biscuit was fluffy and fresh. Unfortunately, the delivery didn’t include any butter, cutlery, or napkins, which was a bit of a letdown. However, the chicken itself was fantastic—crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The three-piece meal cost $18.50, which included shipping and tips. It was enough to satisfy both me and an 8-year-old, so I’d say it was a decent value.

Have the Cajun fish meal with choice of page choose red beans and rice also comes with buscite and drink. Usually Popeyes Cajun love fish meal, but this approach had too much bread and lack a good amount of fish. Seaming was on site. But the bread didn't order at almost $9. Love the cookies. Would be nice if Popeyes started a breakfast. I could see that Cajun Sausage Gravy is a success about Biscuits.

My first in app buy for Popeye's and it was Delicious The chicken was really crispy. The colw slaw was a little dry and the Mac and cheese was a little dry also (seemed like it may have been sitting in the container for a while) but everything had good flavor. I will be going back again.
