Subway - Des Moines

I was pleasantly surprised recently, as Subway has not been at its best lately. However, these meatball subs were excellent and exceeded my expectations!

I was very disappointed when I went to this restaurant location specifically for the drive-thru, passing 3 other locations because I have a newborn and 2 toddlers in the car. However, I was shocked when the employee refused to assist me in the drive-thru and insisted that I come inside to place my order.

This restaurant in Marshalltown is one of my favorites. However, I suggest avoiding mealtime rushes if you don't want to wait in line. Personally, I prefer to order sandwiches online after the dinner rush and then pick them up when they are ready to avoid waiting in line. Ordering online also makes it easier for me to choose my sandwich toppings from the list without feeling rushed or unsure of my choices while in line.

I visited this store after leaving another store because they had almost no product left 2.5 hours before closing. The employees here were awesome! They prepared my 3 sandwich order promptly and perfectly, including side sauces, chips cookies, and did it all with smiles. When I thanked them and told them I had a bad experience at another location, they expressed concern that my experience with them was better. That's real customer service...the way it should be done.They got a much bigger tip than usual as a result.
