The Dam Pub - Des Moines

Date night. Food was fresh and tasty. Music and atmosphere were fun, colorful, and nostalgic.We shared the 1/2 order of nachos (pork) and we both loved the sauce and flavor combos. Then, we shared the Monte Cristo which was fried to perfection.Definitely a new favorite of ours!!

We love The Dam Pub. Not only is the rooftop patio one of the best vibes in Des Moines but the service and food are always great ?. If you are looking for a fun place with affordable prices this is it. The actually have 3 outside patios but the bar is huge and also a fun place to hang out.

I love it when we take a chance on a random lunch spot and it absolutely exceeds all expectations!We were in town for the 4th of July and knew full well that it would be a gamble to find amazing food. Trusting the reviews, we landed at the Dam Pub and now we can't wait to go back!We chose the rooftop seating and absolutely loved the vibe. Despite it being 90°, we found the shad sails kept us relaxed with tasty drinks in hand while waiting for the nachos and fried avocado burger.I wish I could remember our servers name but he was spot on in addition to energetic the staff running meals and supplies up and down the 2 flights of stairs!We hope to find ourselves there again this summer and will be recommending it to anyone else making the trio from Omaha!

The service here is usually pretty good but they can occasionally be surly. Then again who isnt at times? I enjoy their food. They have a better than average bar style food menu. I don’t think you’ll regret going in if it’s a nice day.If the sun is out and it’s warm you should definitely head up to their upstairs patio. It fills up fast but probably one of the best spots. They also have their own bar up there! Really enjoyed the upstairs bar and it’s my favorite part about the dam pub.

We got there around 2pm, decent crowd, great atmosphere! Ordered fried pickles, but they came out rubbery, under fried. Waitress was kind and aware enough to recognize and removed from our tab. Pizza was good, not great. My buffalo chicken pizza didn’t have much buffalo. We wanted it to be better, the place has so much more potential. Maybe we just got the B team of cooks in the middle of a Saturday afternoon.
