Trellis At The Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden

The food and service at this restaurant are amazing! I enjoyed my meal so much that I had to take a second dessert to go. The outdoor patio offers a stunning view of the ponds and the city skyline in the background. It really doesn't get any better than this. And then it did. My server was truly fantastic! This will definitely be a must-do for me whenever I visit Des Moines. Note: It may be a bit confusing to find the restaurant, but it is definitely worth the effort.

For lunch, I enjoyed the half orzo pasta salad and half steak sandwich. I wish there had been a bit more steak on the sandwich, but what I had was delicious and tender. The best part was being able to sit by the pond in the shade, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience. (I'm not sure why the photo is sideways, though!)

This restaurant is charming and cozy! The service was excellent and efficient. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch - the food choices were unique and absolutely delicious.

My family was visiting the city and we decided to stop at this restaurant in the gardens for a group outing. Luckily, they had space for our reservation for 8 people. We all loved the pick 2 option, which allowed us to choose from a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, and grass dishes. Can't say more how much we enjoyed it.

We had a terrible experience at the restaurant. The food on the buffet was unappetizing, brown, and looked old. The price per person was outrageous considering the quality of the food. To make matters worse, the teenager in charge of the buffet took all of our plates.
