By the time my boyfriend and I arrived ~20 minutes later) they were still waiting for their drinks, so my boyfriend ordered straight from the bar. We felt kind of bad enjoying our drinks because at this point our friends had waited over 30 minutes and still hadn't been served yet. Eventually, their drinks came and a nice server who was off-the-clock decided she would take everyone's food orders to help our server along. The food didn't take long to come out, but it was really blah... underwhelming. Even for bar food. The only time we saw our server after the initial round of drinks were dropped off was when we were checking out. Thank goodness for the server who was working off-the-clock. She got our food orders, ran our food to our table, got us re-fills, and our checks. I was really disappointed to find out that she would not be getting any of the tips from our table. She did all that work so she deserved all the tips. I believe her name was Shelly!!! Wellman's gets an extra star for her!!! I've been a server/bartender so I get that it can be overwhelming, but the original server assigned to us only had 3 tables...Thanks, Shelly for ensuring our experience wasn't a complete disaster! I will never come here again.
Just had a great meal. Rib eye steak sandwich and enchilada soup. My wife had a Wellman’s all American Burger. Great American Pub atmosphere.
Have been to Wellman's a few times very very enjoyable Guinness and Bourbon cool atmosphere art deco !!! FUN!
The brunch is pretty good, but we've never once been there and had fast service, even when the place is dead. While waiting 15+ minutes to be acknowledged for even a drink, we always ask each other why we didn't remember this from last time. But the food is decent so that seems to make up for it.
Went there last night for my birthday, the waitress was nice enough at first, but when me, my sister, and mom went to the bathroom (we left all of our stuff at thw table with my father) she came up to my father and harrassed him about how she needed a credit card on file in case we tried to leave and when he said he didn't have one she told him that they would have a problem and they might have to talk to the bartender. Mind you we were not even in the bathroom for 5 minutes. Our bill was 17 something and we gave her 18 dollars and when she was cashing us out she came back over and told us that there was only 18 dollars so she thinks we forgot to tip her, my father then told her that since she was harassing him, she was not getting one (you have to be treating us really poorly to not get a tip because we understand that these people tend to rely on tips for income) and she told one of her other waitresses to remember our faces, so they did not tell us we are banned, but they certainly implied it.
