After about five minutes of waiting, I thought, "Maybe they’re just busy." So I said hello, but there was still no answer. I waited another minute, wondering if the intercom was malfunctioning. Finally, I decided to drive up to the window. When the window attendant opened it, I informed her that I hadn’t placed an order yet because I hadn’t received any response at the intercom. A man wearing a headset behind her then snapped that they were busy and I should have waited at the intercom. I tried to explain that nobody had responded, but he just huffed and walked away. By this point, no one had taken my order, and after waiting an additional three minutes at the window, I chose to leave. I understand they may have been busy, but a simple "please hold on" or "we'll be with you shortly" would have made a big difference. Ignoring customers and expecting them to return is not a good strategy, and because of this experience, I won’t be coming back.
My partner has a severe allergy to mayonnaise, and we made sure to mention that when we placed our order. After we paid, we discovered that our food contained mayonnaise. We had to go back to the restaurant to have it corrected. The manager seemed upset, slamming the bag down. After they "remade" our order, we returned home only to find that the manager had included only two of the three sandwiches we ordered. When I called to inform him—he was the same person who prepared our food—he said, "You won't get any free sandwich from me." Honestly, we have no interest in returning to this restaurant. I hope the next customer has a better experience.
The drive-thru line was a bit chaotic. After my partner finally placed his order, which took about ten minutes to get to, he paid, and then the workers switched positions. One of them rudely asked if he had paid, to which he replied yes. After that, she carelessly tossed a handful of food at him. The burger was minuscule, just a small patty with lettuce, tomato, and cheese, and the Baconator was just as tiny, almost like a smaller version of the cheeseburger—definitely not what I expected. The fries were only lukewarm. This experience was at the Wendy’s on Euclid in Des Moines.
Idk, what goes on at this place, but eating is so slow. I waited for up to 5 minutes on the microphone, with no one in front of me, only for someone who takes my order. almost every time, same or similar experience. the sandwiches are fresh but fries are hit and miss.
I’m a Doordasher and had an order to pick up at this location and y’all the staff here is chefs kiss! They’re so polite and sweet! I wish all my Wendy’s orders were at this location! The woman with pink hair had some wonderful customer service!
