Balkanika - Des Plaines

We had a wonderful party there, despite the lack of waitstaff. However, serving 40 members of our family can be challenging. They did a fantastic job!

Excellent food, great prices! We ordered 4 things off the menu (garlic potatoes, fried zucchini, seafood platter and salmon crostini)and shared. We got our check and were shocked how low it was for what we had! Definitely would go again!

Very quiet and pleasant atmosphere, food was on point, traditional and authentic Bulgarian cuisine, deliciously and more importantly quickly prepared! The bartender server was excellent, very courteous and accommodating. The menu is more than reasonably priced, and definitely would be coming back next time we visit Chicago! Thank you for a great service and food!

Never had Bulgarian cuisine prior to dining here, suffice to say my impression and culinary experience was positive. I recommend the garlic shrimp dish. Friendly and attentive waitresses.

This was my first time trying the restaurant. Service was good and the food was delicious. Very traditional Bulgarian cuisine and portions were great size. Pricing was on par and overall I was very happy with it.
