My husband and I were in search of frozen yogurt when we stumbled upon La Michoacana. Upon entering, we were welcomed by a vibrant and inviting atmosphere, though we noticed there were no menus available. Instead, there were three blank screens above the service area, which I assume are usually where the menus are displayed. After exploring the flavors, I decided on two scoops of ice cream in a waffle cone: chocolate chip and mint chocolate chip. The scoops were enormous, easily equivalent to six standard servings! The flavors were incredibly rich and sweet, just what I had hoped for. The portion size definitely offers great value for the price. However, the parking situation can be quite challenging, as there isn’t enough space for all the neighboring businesses. When we left, we found ourselves blocked in by someone who had double-parked to visit the convenience store. Despite that, the food and service were quite good, and I would highly recommend La Michoacana.
This place really serves a generous portion of elote, and it’s absolutely delicious! Unlike other places that charge high prices and skimp on the corn, here you get a lot for your money. Definitely worth it!
I've passed by this place many times but never had the chance to go inside until today. Now that I've finally tried it, I can confidently say I will be returning. Their frozen fruit bars are simply incredible, featuring a variety of fun and unique flavors that look homemade, with real pieces of fruit or other ingredients mixed in. My partner enjoyed the elotes, which were creamy, spicy, and absolutely delicious. I opted for the horchata, which may not look like much in the photo, but it was fantastic—sweet, cinnamon-flavored, and creamy. They even added a bit of ice to make it perfectly chilled and refreshing. I would definitely order the horchata again, and I'm eager to try the frozen bars, too. The prices are very reasonable, and I highly recommend this place!
Parking can be a bit tricky here, and with so many options on the menu, ordering might take some time. However, the incredible taste of the offerings truly makes it worthwhile. The staff is more than willing to help you narrow down your choices, but don’t bother asking them about the best flavor, as they will insist that all of them are excellent—something I believe is true since I haven't encountered a flavor I didn’t enjoy yet. Alongside their rich and delicious ice cream, which is served in enormous portions (I would argue that a two-scoop serving should really count as six!), the yogurt topped with fresh fruit is outstanding. I wish I had found this place years ago as an alternative to the typical parfaits found everywhere else. The decor is also impressive, perfectly themed to create a lively and inviting atmosphere where you can savor your delicious treats in a brightly lit and vibrantly decorated space.
