Both entrées were also overly salty ? sauces possibly pre made in advance ? Price per person including sharing appetizers and sharing two entrées was $40 per person.
The steamed dumplings are the size of larger marbles…definitely not worth the price! Crispy garlic chicken was fried so hard you really couldn’t eat it. Rice was good but you really can’t mess rice up! $40 wasted! Will not order from here again!
Pre-pandemic, this was my favorite Thai Green Curry takeout place. The restaurant is tiny but cozy. It's never full, easy to get a table. But I think there are more takeout orders for this place than dine-in patrons. The food is more Thai Thai than American Thai which is why I like it. I have tried a bunch of their other items but those are not appreciated by me in the flavor or satisfaction department .The protein to carb ratio in their noodles and stir fry dishes is dismal. It's pretty much the same for their curries. But the saving grace is that being a local, and having enough curry left over, it's enough to heat the remaining curry the next day with veggies or meat from my own fridge. I find soups such as Yom Yum more authentic at another Thai place in the same area. I find the quantity of noodles and stir-fry dishes more satisfactory at other Thai places. There are plenty of food pics for this restaurant. I have attached two of the takeout curry to see the proportion served. Pre-pandemic days, the takeout level (refer to the pics) was to the brim of the container and plentiful veggies along with the protein component. You can see that level is less now. and maybe half cup of bamboo shoots and few slivers of zucchini is what you should expect in these days of rising inflation costs. Prices also have risen by about $3 per entree since the pandemic. So a protein green curry would be $13.95 plus taxes. It's interesting to note that if you order via online delivery sites I see that they embed an extra $2 in the menu price. The reason I come back here is because the flavor of the green curry is more authentic than other places in the area. I think it's their use of coconut milk instead of coconut cream that makes the difference. The other reason I knocked a star off is because I specify the spice level as Thai Hot every single time but it's always a Medium that I get Never Thai hot. It's different at other local Thai places where you ask for Thai hot and you are served spice at that level. Or supplied a condiment container with Thai chilli powder. But if you live in Destin and if you are a big fan of authentic green curry, this is the place to go!
Best Thai food! the fried rice is amazing and I love the suppen. very friendly service and they are very fast. a little expensive, but it is worth it!
That was great. we have ordered some dishes to try. the waitress and the cash register were super, very polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend this for those who love Thai eating.
