The Harbor Tavern - Destin

We came here as a family and absolutely loved the food! Kids ordered boneless wings and loved them! Mahi tacos were amazing and so was the ‘Southern’ burger! Great food, service and environment!

Finally got to try out The Harbor Tavern. I had had some food from here that was catered to a wedding and it was phenomenal a few years ago so I was excited to finally experience it in person. I got the bowl w/ blackened mahi mahi, wow ?. My bf got the blackened mahi mahi sandwich with fries. Fish was great of course, but those fries though, delicious. As my bf said “these are the best fries I’ve ever had!”. I agree, perfectly crispy on outside and so flavorful. Can’t wait to go back when I’m in town next. Oh and how could I forget.. that tuna dip, you gotta get it!! It was so yummy especially with the seasoned pita chips they were served with ?They’re also nice enough to validate your parking so no need to pay those outrageous harbor parking prices, just the cherry on top ?Kid-friendliness: Live band, fun seating, on docks.Parking: They validate your parking so it’s free!

The drinks and fish tacos were delicious! Very laid-back atmosphere for drinks and food on the harbor. We were also able to watch the fireworks from our table!

My family I thought this place would provide great service food unfortunately that did not happen. We waited 20 minutes before I had to get a staff member to acknowledge us. We still tried our best to give them another chance to make it right, but the waiter took the lady order sitting next to us. We left after 30 minutes of waiting. Please beware, if you decide to go to this restaurant.

Limited menu but we’ve tried several things on it they’ve all been good reasonably priced for a waterfront location. Visited twice in the past week while on vacation. Service is always good and friendly. A bonus is they’re located at the end of the Harborwalk they have free parking in front behind the place that’s good for up to 24 hours. So you can eat drink there then visit the harbor for awhile without paying $10 to park at the Harborwalk parking lot
