15 minutes from Detroit Lakes on Height of Land Lake is divebar Charlie's Place. Pit Stop for locals, snowmobile and fishermen, Charlie's Place offers great food, drinks and service with a smile. Many days you will find the owner who works with everyone and joking, and create a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The breakfast menu is simple, but offers something for everyone at great prices and HUGE portions. A ToGo box is likely. The eggs Benedikt contains thick slices of ham, the Burrito and Omelet are filled to the maximum and the biscuits and Gravy delightfully. I would recommend bringing your appetite and the love of the small town hospitality.

If this isn't the best spot for a burger or ribs with excellent service, please tell us where we can find something better. The drinks are consistently well-crafted, and the owners are fantastic. We absolutely love it here!

I had the cheeseburger soup for lunch today, and I would definitely come back for more. Everything was above average. I’d rate the food a solid 4 out of 5!
