Izzo's - Detroit Lakes

The service was poor from start to finish. There was only one couple at the bar, so the place was mostly empty, yet we were ignored for at least 25 minutes. It took another 30 minutes for our pizza to arrive, and when it finally did, we were given dirty, wet plates to use. The pizza itself was lacking in quantity and not worth the steep price of $20. Additionally, the soda tasted flat. Our server hardly checked on us; instead, she spent most of her time on her phone, seemingly avoiding us. When it was time to settle the bill, we tried to leave quickly, but the bartender was nowhere to be found, causing us to wait an extra 10 minutes. When I finally paid, the bartender rolled her eyes at the small tip we left, which I thought was unprofessional—she should have felt lucky to receive anything given the service we experienced. The view from the restaurant was nice, but I am truly baffled by how they remain in business with such subpar service and food. A friend had recommended this place a few months ago, saying it was great for dining and drinks, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Our second visit was just as bad; if you enjoy raw burgers, then this is definitely the place for you...

I was here twice with a friend. had the alfredo chicken pizza for the first time. the staff was terrible, from bartender to the server that served our table. was another couple that drank at the bar, otherwise the place was empty. 30 minutes to get our pizza. at which point the server gave us dirty wet plates, of which we eat. pizza was shameful for the unfortunate price of $20. pop tasted flat, server never came back to check us. She messed up with her phone all the time. finally get the **** and try to go fast. had not happened, the bartender was not a place to find for another 10 minutes. After we were able to pay bill, the bartender just rolled her eyes on the little tip we had left. Actually, she should be happy to get everything or even have a job. view was great, but I am am amazed that this place can remain open with substandard service and eat. too bad months, a friend said it was a great place to eat and drink. Oh, yeah, the second time we left. now, if they like raw burger then be his place.

The food was absolutely delicious! I've visited this restaurant twice this season. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection, which is something I often worry about when dining out. But here, it was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. I also tried the crispy chicken on another occasion, and it had the perfect balance of filling to coating. I have a feeling I'll be coming back often and bringing my friends along!
