Instead, I decided to try out #GordonBiersch Brewery since I had never heard of it before. I'm really glad I did! I ordered a delightful #marzenBavarianLager to accompany my #bratwurstSliders. The beer was light and refreshing, with a beautiful amber hue and fantastic flavor. The sliders were equally enjoyable; the bratwurst truly took center stage, nestled in smaller #pretzelBuns that paired perfectly with the meat. The caramelized #onions and delicious marzen #mustard added a wonderful touch, balancing tanginess and sweetness that complemented the juicy bratwurst beautifully. With prompt service, I was able to relax and enjoy my layover without any stress. I'm so pleased I chose to stop for a bite at Gordon Biersch Brewery before heading to Toronto. #gordonbierschbrewery
The experience at this restaurant was incredibly disappointing. There was no host to greet us, so we had to wait to be seated, but no one ever came. I ended up sitting at the bar, where the bartenders consistently ignored me. After some time, I finally managed to get the attention of one to order a drink and ask for a menu. However, there was only one menu at the bar, and it was already in use. It was quite frustrating. I ended up going to the steakhouse down the hall, which was a much better choice. I would recommend avoiding this place; I wasted 10 minutes of my time here. Food rating: 1/5.
Coconut shrimp were delicious. The service was awesome. Had what was originally supposed to be a short layover and needed to eat. The menu looked appealing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely eat hear again if in this airport.
I had 2 draft beers and the wife had a bottle of beer and it was $24. Typical price for airports and having a 4 hour layover.Sadly we had to ask if we could go in and sit at the bar as no one welcomed us. It was also well over 10 minutes before the bartender came over to ask us our requests. The local draft beer was decent and atmosphere was better then the typical airport terminal scene.
Gordon Biersch was a great stop while at DTW! Granted it wasnt a busy night, but our waitress Pam was so friendly and expeditious. We had the hefeweizen and rosé which were both delightfully drinkable. Total price was what youd expect for the airport $24 for a beer and a glass of wine. We didnt eat here, but it smelled soooo good ? bon voyage!
