Highlands - Detroit

This is certainly a nice place to have a fancy birthday or anniversary dinner. The lamb was so succulent and the New York strip is so tender. If you want a cocktail, get the blackberry press. It's so refreshing. The food is so delicious and I love how it comes in courses. The service is also wonderful. They were so understanding when we asked them if we could take our third course to go because our babysitter needed us home.

Jennifer is a fantastic server, she made our family birthday dinner so much fun! Her recommendations were on point and she made out evening very memorable! Thank you to the entire staff that were so friendly and welcoming.

Amazing views… but the best is Brandy and the Whiskey program they got… obviously named “Highlands” the Male game is on-point but the bourbon and rye lists are excellent. I highly recommend Brandy’s signature “brown-butter washed” Old Fashioned! DAMN!!!

If you are afraid of heights, the elevator ride up might be difficult (getting to the 71st floor), but if you can manage, it is worth it! As soon as the doors open, you see the stunning bar, like a scene from Mad Men. Our reservation was 8pm, and the sky was a beautiful cotton candy pink, highly recommend planning around sunset! From there, everything was excellent. The service, the food, the environment…we were all very pleased. There is the three course menu (if you like beef tartare, order it here! Delicious), or the reserve steak menu. With cocktails and food, it is a pricey evening, but so worth it. We dined here for birthday celebrations, and the restaurant made our guests feel so special a delicious birthday dessert, with candle, and a nice birthday note. We will definitely be back!
