But the shrimp florentine was very very basic/bland. The steak and frites were the same, nothing outstanding. We were very impressed with the creme brûlée cheesecake. That’s actually something I would come back for alone. Saved the dinner lol.
Stopped by for dinner last night. It was a good experience! We started with a couple drinks, the orange/pineapple/coconut mocktail and a beer. The mocktail was a thick drink and very flavorful. The beer was very refreshing, both were finished. For starters, we ordered the mac and cheese and wagyu meatballs. They were delicious, I’d suggest ordering the mac and cheese without peas but aside from that they were both great! We got two lumen burgers with truffle fries which were mouthwateringly tender and tasty. The service was pretty good. Clare was attentive, she checked in on us. Toward the end she asked if we had any plans afterwards, the touch of personable was nice. The atmosphere is stunning on the outside, and pretty basic on the inside. We sat at a wood high top table with pretty basic chairs. I’d suggest giving it a try!Parking: There are plenty of parking options around. On busier days, it’ll be hard to find spots.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Lumen, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, the ambience greeted me with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for a delightful evening.First and foremost, the food at Lumen is simply outstanding. I had the pleasure of trying their Honey Bourbon Salmon, and it was a culinary masterpiece. The salmon was cooked to perfection, tender and flaky, with a glaze that provided a delightful balance of sweetness and smokiness. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left me craving for more. But the culinary delights didn't stop there. The Crabcakes at Lumen were absolutely phenomenal. They were generously filled with succulent crab meat, delicately seasoned, and perfectly seared to a golden brown. Each bite was a heavenly combination of textures and flavors, leaving a lasting impression. To complement the meal, I ordered the Caesar Salad, and it was a refreshing accompaniment. The crisp romaine lettuce, tangy dressing, and perfectly shaved Parmesan cheese made it a classic Caesar salad done right. It was a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that elevated the entire dining experience. One of the highlights of my evening was the outdoor seating area, where I had the pleasure of enjoying my meal while listening to a live concert happening next door. The relaxed ambiance, coupled with the fantastic music, created an enchanting atmosphere that made the dining experience truly memorable. The attentive and friendly staff at Lumen added to the overall charm of the restaurant. From the moment I walked in until the end of my meal, their exceptional service made me feel welcomed and well taken care of. The staff's knowledge of the menu and their genuine enthusiasm for the restaurant further enhanced the overall dining experience. In conclusion, Lumen is a culinary gem that deserves every accolade. With its outstanding food, from the delectable Honey Bourbon Salmon to the divine Crabcakes and Caesar Salad, and its relaxed yet vibrant ambience, dining at Lumen is an experience that will leave you satisfied in every way. Whether you're looking for a memorable evening or a delightful meal, Lumen is the place to be.
The appetizers were so good, this feta spread with herbs was our fave! The drinks were also really good. And we enjoyed all of the nature light with our dining. Our server was very helpful and attentive.
The food and beverages were delicious! I've never had a lentil burger before, and the one at Lumen's did not disappoint. On my next visit I will be making a stop at Lumen Detroit!
