Radiant Communications - Detroit

I was in town for a convention this hotel is in a great location. It also has access to the People Mover that stops at the Convention Center. The staff (Todd) could not of been nicer. My room was ready when I arrived early. This hotel offers two on site restaurants IHOP and Appleby's. There are several restaurants that are walkable. The room was king size with a great city view had a large sofa very comfortable. The offer a convenience store and a concierge on site. This hotel is right on the water you can see Windsor, Canada from your room. The area the hotel is in is very safe you can walk to the GM building. They need to use 2 ply toilet tissue, the bath tub was dripping, the hallways are not real quiet. All in all a great visit. This hotel will be undergoing a full renovation soon.

The staff was amazing and so helpful. Asked us why we were in town and had a signed card and bottle of wine to celebrate anniversary by the time we got up to our room! Applebees and IHOP located in the hotel which was very convenient.

Wonderful hospitality in hotel and IHOP/Applebee's restaurant. Clean room with microwave, fridge, desk and good WiFi. Skyway walkway to the Renaissance Center and Renaissance Marriott. No winter coat needed. No complaints here! Nice sofa with convenient food tray table. Lots of mini shampoo and shower gel thingies in the bathroom! Intuitive design. Definitely a good hotel for business travel.

The hotel itself is great. The valet parking is convenient and efficient. The staff is great, especially the breakfast staff. Rooms are well appointed, clean and comfortable. The hotel itself is quiet but it is adjacent to a nearby bar that has a live band that played outdoors in a tent until 3 am. Obviously this is beyond the control of the hotel, but we were very thankful we had earplugs. It was still pretty loud and made sleep a challenge. It's an unfortunate situation for the hotel.

Overbooks and not guaranteed a room even if booked months ahead. Tried to checkin and basically told to pound dirt since they were overbooked and I made the reservation months ago. Was told to go to Dearborn instead.
