Taqueria El Rey - Detroit

I absolutely love this place! The tacos are incredibly fresh and authentic. Every time I visit, I order a margarita, tacos, and half a BBQ chicken, which comes with rice and beans. The food is very affordable, and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed. It’s also a great spot for a casual dining experience with a bar.

I had the chicken tacos and shrimp tacos, both of which were perfectly seasoned and moist. The salsas were authentic and delicious! We also tried the fried chicken, and it was fantastic! The margaritas here are the best. This was my first visit, but definitely not my last. It's tough to find a genuine Mexican restaurant, and this one is among the best I've found in Michigan. 6/24/21

There's really not much more to add that hasn't already been said countless times before. The burritos are excellent, the smoked chicken is amazing, and the ribs are solid. Cantarito is top-notch, with a great selection of beer and tequila. I really miss this place!

Today was only our second time to eat here, and just like the first, AMAZING sweet grill chicken dinner! I recommend the chicken!

The perfect taco shop. Outstanding tacos made hot and fresh. Great margaritas with fast friendly service. Wrap it all up with an affordable price. This place is a gem.
