Tubby's Sub Shop - Detroit

I have been ordering two subs from Tubby's since the early 90s - the steak and cheese and the famous. I also tried the chicken and broccoli and cheese which was good, but I always prefer to get extra oil and extra cheese heated on my steak and cheese and the famous subs.

I recently visited e-location at 16543 Grand River Ave in Detroit and had an extremely negative experience. I typically do not leave reviews, but I felt compelled to share my disappointment this time. The staff were incredibly rude and confrontational. Before I could even place my order, their bad attitudes were evident. I will not be returning to this establishment and I will not be recommending it to others.

The standard sub is huge, they should offer an XL size to make it more worth it. The food is always fresh and the staff behind the counter is efficient. It's located near another restaurant, so they should offer more variety. LOL.

Hello, this is Mek Mek. I had a good meal at this restaurant, but the prices were a bit high. A steak and cheese combination cost almost $20, which I found expensive for lunch. There were no lunch specials available and the portions didn't have enough meat. I had to pay an extra $4 for more meat. Overall, I don't think the food was worth the price.

It would have been 5 stars for this place, but the workers are sometimes aggressive with taking orders and can be rude when trying to order food in advance via the phone. but overall, eating is very good and worth the 5 minutes waiting! they need a better customer service, that's all. I always get the philly cheesesteak sub with extra cheese and tubby sauce and I have a 4 year old daughter with autism, so I grab her the nuggets and curly fries and everything is always well cooked or to our joy!
