Zeman's Old Highway House - Devils Lake

Friday 7. October was our first visit. I'm saying this because we're back. Zeman's was recommended by an employee who said it could be his new favorite fish fry. Me too. Fish was hot, fluffy and slightly broken, not greasy. The pub chips were crispy and not too thick. The place was very busy, not a room at the bar, but we have a drink and we are sitting right away. Friday is old-fashioned night as very cheap as the fish roasts. Shrimp was recommended, but is a little expensive, but quality shrimp is expensive, we will try it again. Service was excellent and made us welcome. I noticed when food was brought out by a server, they seemed confused to what table the commands belonged to. The numbering of the tables could help. All in all, I recommend Zeman's attempt.

Fast service, even if very busy! Fish fry was great and plentiful. Chips were cut thin and hot! Absolutely back!

Visited the first Friday Fish Fry under the new property. The experience was extremely positive and the food was excellent! The young ladies in training did a great job. The food was timely and very tasty. I definitely come back!

Our regular meeting room in another company has somehow been booked twice. Zemans, let us down for a meeting that should start in 45 minutes. Thank you and your staff for looking for food and drinks.

I do not know Baraboo very well, so I just picked a random place to eat with my friend before our tattoo appointment. Walked in, found out they had only been open since Feb, their menu is very limited, I'm assuming it's just for the time being, I did notice they started offering a Friday fish fry. I had the grilled chicken sandwich, it came with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, had mayo on the side, you also got a choice of one side, I got their homemade french onion dip and potato chips, it was really good! I am glad this is where we wound up, good customer service all around as well, if I ever find myself in the area again will go see how they've progressed
