I always see people at this establishment during the summer season, decided to try if during off season. Needless to say I won't be returning. Totally not worth the money, especially adding the CC surcharge to boot.
Casual atmosphere and amicably great service define Sharkeys. Their servings are mighty generous (honestly, you can share a plate with another person). The food has a homemade feel. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. All food items tried were delicious. Omelet options and many breakfast items to choose from. Everything is delicious. You can bring your friendly dog and sit outside. Try the Cuban Press. It is delish. This restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch. CRYSTAL rocks. She gets an A for friendliness and service. Thank you, Sharkey's.
Eat here if you want to be frustrated about the expensive price considering the extremely cheap service. This is an outdoor restaurant that is SWARMING WITH FLIES. You will have to fight off all the bugs trying to eat you and your food. The waiter “Ben” was very weird. He stood about five inches away from my face and kind of whispered so I couldn’t really hear him. He didn’t say anything like “excuse me” when he was handing my friend her smoothie, he kind of reached into her personal bubble to place the smoothie in her hand. It was a very windy day and the hostess sat us near the front counter where my food plates were nearly being swept up by the wind. There was hardly anyone else there so they could have sat us at a table, but no, she needed to make the customer suffer. When we asked for water, Ben didn’t give us a cup of tap, he gave us bottles of water in which we had to pay for! ALSO: the restaurant is so cheap that they serve everything on paper plates. I asked for over-hard eggs and I received over-easy (wow). When I was done with the eggs the paper plate flew off of the counter top and onto my shirt. Egg yolk got on my leg, my shirt, and MY HAIR!
Definitely overpriced breakfast place…breakfast food took long to be served…too many flies in the outdoor setting although setting does has some basic simple appeal….of our parties 6 breakfast items one was truly “good” and the others average or below…worst egg/cheese breakfast sandwich.
Strawberry smoothie was good, French toast was great. The waiter was pretty prompt. The only issue was that the whole place was swarming with flies. At least 10 were circling my table at all times. Also, the bathroom is pretty disgusting.
