TC's Ponderosa - Dickens

Tuesday's green chile mac and cheese, with brisket onions pickles jalapeños, really hit the spot.

Stopped for a restroom break and also a frito pie. The frito pie was surprisingly good, and there was a gentleman working there who was super friendly. Would return for the frito pie.

The brisket and beans are both really good, and they actually give you a fair portion! Pretty rare for a bbq joint these days

Excellent food, and even better prices. Nice desert ranch land view too.

TC’s Ponderosa is a roadside eatery in Dickens, TX that’s well worth a stop even if you have to drive outta the way a bit. There’s plenty of cold beverages for all ages. Lotta snacks and homemade treats plus a few basic grocery items. I had a sliced brisket sandwich with slaw on it and it was great. The brisket and slaw were just right. The folks are friendly and the prices are reasonable.
