Was really excited because had no idea what could it be :) So good food, ask the staff what sort of food you are after and they will help. So knowledgefull and friendly staff you can get!! We had a little culture visit in Peru .. so much info about food, drinks everything. EXTREMELY GOOD FOOD! We definitely fell in love with this place. Will go back again - asap
Huge portions and great service. We went as a group of 4 at 6pm (opening hour for Cholos). I had the chicken. Beautifully cooked. Great cocktail menu too. Would return in a heartbeat. Food is priced on the higher side but you get what you pay for. Delicious.
The pisco sour cocktail and range of Peruvian beers were fantastic. We had the fish special, beef stir-fry and cassava. The cassava was nice, although the mince was cold and lacked seasoning. The fish was also fantastic although I felt the fries with the stir-fry hurt the authenticity. The waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable and some other patrons were worryingly over complementary. The plates were slightly too big.
Great food, terrible service. It's a shame I cannot give a different rating for the food and service. The food is a 3.5/5, quite nice. Good portions and tasty, had the Carapulcra and enjoyed it. 8 people all enjoyed the food. Service however was shocking. -Table booked for 6pm, door opens at 6:10 -Round table connected to square table not very friendly for the group, and there were other square tables and it was a quiet night. - ordered after 15 minutes, told 5 minutes later only 3 servings of Carapulcra left so one person will have to change. Surprising as there was only 3 other couples there. - ordered one entree but three came out. - mains came out an hour later. - ordered wine, they forgot it. Asked again, came 15 minutes later after meals were done. - had to get our own cutlery for some guests.
Great food and friendly staff. Definitely have to try the cassava! A potato unique to Peru and absolutely delish and also must try the Pisco sour in the cocktails menu. Only place this place drops marks is where my friend asked if there were nuts in the dishes and they said no so confidently we thought surely they're correct.. However within 5 minutes of eating the entree she was vomiting. They definitely need to realise the importance of the accuracy of these questions!
