La Tour Aux Crabes - Dieppe

This is a lovely hotel in Dieppe close to all the restaurants and bars. The staff were very helpful especially Gwen and Rebecca. Every where was spotless , they also have a spa and pool but we didn’t use them

We visited the restaurant as a family of 8 as the impressive frontage suggested a great restaurant. The staff were very friendly and as we wanted to book for the evening we were told they don’t take bookings. However, when we said there was 8 she happily booked us in for the evening. When we arrived it was very warm inside and we were tucked away in a corner that was really dark! We had to use our phone torches to read the menu! Service was quick to begin with but we had to give our order twice as something happened with the technology! We asked for children’s food to be brought with the starters but it didn’t arrive. We assumed it would arrive with mains. They didn’t so we asked and they went away. Eventually we had to attract the attention of the waiter who apologised and then went away. We had finished our main course by the time the children’s food arrived. We were asked to keep our cutlery between starters and main (no new napkins or fresh cutlery/steak knives). No hand wipes with the mussels or shellfish. Toilets are awful. Tiny, cramped and staff were also using to wash hands and one waiter even washed his t-shirt in the sink (having spilt something on the front). Customer was drying children’s clothes (underwear) in the hand dryer which made the tiny bathroom unbelievably hot. Floor of the toilet was also soaking wet. No personal service and you have to queue up to pay the bill. Food was really nice (although we didn’t get exactly what we ordered). Not sure we would visit again as there are many other restaurants in Dieppe that offer the same cuisine. Don’t be fooled by the look of the building! It didn’t live up to our expectations!

Incredibly disappointing. Tasteless food, chips cooked how many times previously? Absolutely do not recommend.

Pleasant setting, good service that we ate warm good heart, I a very good perigourden foie gras served with excellent dish, treats good food against home foie gras to take away in the menu

Perfect seafood tray. servers and waitresses are efficient and welcoming. high-quality ratio, nothing to say. I'll give it to you.
