I was looking for a casual, unpretentious place to enjoy a light dinner and a good glass or two of wine. La Taverne Berbisey was perfect. I order a 250cl pitcher of rose and an omelet (Les Tonton Flingueures , which was a step above the plain eggs, with bacon. A touch too salty for me (and I love salt! and when they say 'geants ' they mean it. However, it came with a small green salad and fried potatos to temper any excessiveness. I walked out of there for 13 Euros, including tip. The restaurant is muraled with photos from French movies, some of which even us Americains may even recognize (The Professional, Manon of the Spring, Amelie . The service was very pleasant and attentive. All very agreeable and a charming walk from/back to my hotel (Hotel des Ducs .
Quality ratio ineligible price. The quality of the meat leaves clearly to desire: fat meat, full of nerves... Pathetic ambit, music "joying birthday" has the background to the anniversary of a customer...
