He persuaded to have lunch in Bhoot Jolokia while we were in that area for some reason few years back. Obviously as the name suggests it's serves you typical Assamese dishes with essence of local herbs and spices. Food was definitely good, so was ambiance to suit ethnic style and of course price was reasonable too. For lovers of Assamese food, it's a must go place and enjoy good food.
Three of us friends had dinner today at Bhoot Jalakia. We had ordered for two pork dishes and both were undercooked.
We ordered two veg thali & one fish fry!! I must say the bhut jolokia (Assamese chillies) put inside the preparations made the food hell spicy but heavenly delicious at the same time. The server was mostly the manager & also the chef - all in one person was very warm & kind to us!
This restaurant is situated on RG Baruah Road in Guwahati, a trendy area that is conveniently close to the zoo. You will find a delicious selection of Assamese cuisine here, with flavors that are truly outstanding.
The management was terrible as we had to wait for almost an hour and had a horrible experience during the puja festival. The staff was completely disorganized in taking our order, leading us to leave the restaurant hungry.
