A Royal Spice - Divonne-les-Bains

Very nice interior, and very good food and tasty. Would go back anytime.

The service is great, staff is pleasant. The food is good however we ordered a chicken biryani. It didn’t have much chicken in it, mainly rice. Also, the ice cream flavor ordered was Orange, and we got mango flavor instead… ! When seated, you sink into the chairs and therefore you sit rather low compared to the table height!

I went back for a second time to this restaurant which is a little tucked away but well worth a visit. Very friendly staff. The curries are the best I have tasted in the region. The meat is well-cooked, and the sauces are excellent: rich, delicately flavoured and delicious. Jalfrezi, tikka masala, butter chicken, vindaloo all spot-on. The rice is also cooked perfectly, and whatever you do, taste the black daal and the aubergine, almost worth the visit on their own.

I'll go back to it, have a good time, and we'll eat very well.

I had chicken tandoori which was delicious. You have to order rice and other side dishes apart. I think at least the rice should be included in the price of the plate.
