Born raised in the Bronx being Cuban Panamanian myself I grew up around every race so I know authentic Jamaican food. I just moved out here so I be tryna find some good food this place is for sure authentic! However, I paid 3.99 for a one inch slice of Mac cheese. Like I’m not exaggerating. It was literally a one inch cube. I just feel like that was od. $4 for a tiny piece of Mac cheese they was better off saying they were sold out. It was literally only 2forkfuls. I can’t make this up. But yeah the food was bomb tho. I even tore the lil piece of Mac up. My only complaint is the sizing for the price. Everything else top tier I heard they got drinks it be a vibe in there so yeah
I recently had the pleasure of trying the ackee and saltfish sautéed with fried plantains, rice and peas, rum cake, and cola champagne at Reggae Grill. I was not disappointed! The ackee and saltfish was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The plantains were crispy on the outside and soft and sweet on the inside. The rice and peas were flavorful and moist. The rum cake was moist and delicious, and the cola champagne was a refreshing and bubbly accompaniment. Overall, I was very impressed with the meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend Reggae Grill to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Jamaican dining experience.
We found a Jamaican restaurant in, of ALL places, Cayce that is as close to the Jamaican food we would get in the city as possible! The oxtails were the absolute TRUTH! The way you know it is a TRUE Jamaican chef in the kitchen is the lima beans. Unfortunately they were flat pieces instead of the normal size true Caribbeans are used to. This New Yorker is thoroughly impressed and the hubs and I will be back! Service: Take out
