Charming place and full of character, this hotel is a converted water mill. It offers comfortable accommodation, a varied menu in a quaint restaurant, good service and a spa facility. For me it was an overnight stop. I had a really nice room with a...balcony and in tip-top condition. I had a three course evening meal from the gourmet menu but there were other cheaper options. My main course of fish was cooked perfectly and I was impressed by the quality. There was a great choice of wines but I had to quench my thirst with a longer drink which was a draft Hoegaarden beer. The night was extremely comfortable and in the morning I enjoyed a leisurely buffet breakfast.
Lovely unique hotel. Nice quiet, clean rooms. Comfy beds. Lovely pool and grounds. Nice restaurant, perhaps a bit formal for young kids. But all in all, a good find. Free parking and breakfast was good too.
As has been said, this old mill with more modern extensions offers surprising quality in such a rural location. The small village is well kept and worth a stroll. Super staff and fine dining at fair prices. Loved it.
This was our fourth time staying at this wonderful great value hotel. Every time we book, we are amazed at the value. We always have the suite which has its own parking space outside this suits us with our two dogs. The suite is...comfortable with lounge, bedroom and wet room that has a Jacuzzi bath as well as a large rainfall shower. The dinner B&B rate is excellent value, but if like us you are foodies, you will want to pay the supplements to have a choice from the a la carte. The food is superb and the cheese trolley is wonderful. The staff are all very nice and have good memories though I think, as usual, it is our dogs they recall !!! cannot believe the person who called the staff dismissive! We have always found in France that if you make an effort with their language, you will be rewarded with their gratitude that you did we hear so many English not even bothering in our usual lazy style. The breakfast has been criticised by others as not having much choice, but for us it is great. The little village is good for a stroll around when you need to stretch your legs after a journey.
