Christy Hill - Dollar Point

Yearly summer visit on the deck is something we look forward to. Food is very good, consistent, slightly pricey. General vibe is great, lots of age variety. Love the beach bar with guitar music, not too loud, just right. View is marvelous.

We have been coming to and loved this restaurant for years, unfortunately the service (especially) and food has gone down hill. It took 15 minutes to even get our water glasses filled and the rest of the dining experience was very disappointing unfortunately. Sad to say, we likely will not come back.

My wife and I both had the seasonal tasting menu without the wine pairing. It was excellent! Service was amazing, they brought new cutlery when needed and constantly checked and filled our drinks. We went in with no reservation during sunset and they said they could seat us for two hours, I suggest making a reservation. Every part of every course was well made. Our only spot for improvement would be the crust on the tartlet, the crust was just dry we thought, and not as perfect as everything else on the menu.

We had another wonderful evening dinning at Christy Hill. The sunset at the lake has an incredible set of colors, my favorite is the pinky sky at the end of sunset. This time I tried the pasta with mushroom, arugula, pecorino, panceta and egg. It became a fancy carbonara as soon as I broke and mixed the egg. We also had the steak tartare, devilled eggs and rabbit-pork pate. All small dishes to be shared that were very flavorful. My husband had the pheasant breast which was also tasty but he kept having my dish. Finally we had the fig and almond ice cream for dessert. We love the wine selection and this time we had a French Sirah that was delicious to acompany our main entrees and a California Chardonnay glass for our appetizers. Hope you try some of these very tasty dishes and enjoy the view!

Fantastic view, great food. We have enjoyed many wonderful meals here. However this time in the Inside dining room it was impossible to hold a conversation with my dining partner due to noise (table of 9 seared next to us). Views of the lake are unsurpassed from most tables, but the dining room can get very loud. In summer, outdoor seating would be best.
