Dawros Bay House - Donegal

Stayed for a magical night in this house with Joe and Maria and ate an exquisite seafood dinner ! Can't explain how atmospheric and unique this house/pub/restaurant is. Wonderful spectacular views, generous friendly hosts, quirky funky decor with antique charm, delicious local food. An artists paradise. A gem of a place that people want to keep a secret it should be preserved and supported and really is a charming and incredibly wild spot ! We are definitely returning for a longer stay.

Food was fabulous. It's a magical place with simply amazing views. Can't wait to visit again the next time I am in Donegal. The tempura prawns were just delicious. Great value wine too

My family from Munich and I made a reservation for 9 people at this restaurant. We started with crab tian, goats cheese and red onion bruschetta, and the tomato and mozzarella salad, all of which were delicious. For our main courses, we had lobster, cheeseburger, cassoulet, and a couple of the kids had goujons. All of the food was excellent, served with fantastic chips and salad. We particularly enjoyed the lobster. The service was outstanding, very friendly, and the cozy atmosphere with the roaring open fire made the whole experience amazing. You have helped our family create a special memory that will last a long time. Thank you.

This restaurant is a hidden treasure. We received a warm welcome, enjoyed breathtaking views, and indulged in amazing food. Our meal was perfect, and Pamela made us feel right at home. The rustic charm of the building added to the experience, and the food was beautifully presented and full of flavor. Dining al fresco on a hot summer evening was a treat, and we look forward to returning in winter to enjoy a hot whiskey overlooking the bay. Thank you to everyone who made our evening so memorable; we can't wait to come back!

After years of hearing about the food at this restaurant, we finally had the opportunity to dine there on a sunny day yesterday. Sitting outside with a view of the beautiful bay, we enjoyed delicious lobster, prawn tempura, homemade chips, and local salads. The attention to detail and care put into the dressings, dips, and tempura batter was truly impressive. The desserts were also exceptional, especially the bread and butter pudding. The homemade food is clearly cooked with love and care. The family and staff were genuine, humble, and attentive. We can't wait to return in August. Well done, you deserve all the best!
