Big Apple Bakery - DONNYBROOK

The cakes and croissants were delicious. We enjoyed a lovely atmosphere and a pleasant breakfast. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Overall, we had a great experience with nothing negative to add.

I visited this restaurant before 9am because there were limited options available. I tried the bacon egg roll, which was not the best. It lacked sauce and was wrapped in cling wrap, causing the sesame seed burger bun to sweat. It was also wrapped in greaseproof paper and left in the bain marie. However, my son had the curry pie, which he enjoyed, although it was a questionable choice for breakfast.

Stopped in on the way through to pemberton for a bite to eat and coffee. I brought the fish and chips which where advertised showing two pieces of fish and some chips $7. And ordered a coffee. Getting up the road I opened my fish...and chips and OMG the chips where like days old, there was only 1 piece of fish not the two advertised, the coffee was only half full and a two year old could have drank it without burning themselves yep it was cold. So dad as this was our go to bakery when in donny brook. McDonald would have been better fresh chips and food that is edible. And that's just the food, they young guy serving didn't seem like he wanted to be there or he was having a a very bad day and it was only11 am.

You just have to stop at this bakery, when going to or passing through Donnybrook! They bake the best pasties, so loaded, well as their chocolate elcaire, but the thing that is so tasty is the Choppa Bread Loaf, it is a meal in it 's...self. So do yourself a big favor when going through town "Stop, grab a great coffee some of their many treats, as we always do or get friends to buy for us.

Always ask a local where they go and we did. 10.00 am and all the tables were filled when we went to check out their wares. After our look around the township, we returned at lunchtime still busy with customers. We were rewarded with piping...hot steak pies with the best pastry. Of course then we had to share a cream donut and an apple sponge YUM YUM. We certainly will be back,
