5300 Chop House - Doral

For starters..... the food has always been amazing, this is our second time attending this restaurant and they definitely have customers for life. Duanne is the best bartender/mixologist, his Long Island is to kill for!!!!! His hospitality is out of this world and I will always make my way to see him whenever visiting Miami.... Yunior, who?s another waiter, had EXCELLENT hospitality as well. Hadn?t met him until tonight... but we must say they really worked together and made our experience worth it!!!! We will definitely be back!!!!

Gratuity is included at 20% so be mindful. We did use a Groupon for this deal since we are not from Florida and wanted to check it out first. The drive up is so beautiful, nice blue lights. Our service was great throughout however, the receipt is a bit scattered my card was held for more than the amount. Overall I would recommend!

If I had realized that this restaurant was located in the lobby of the hotel when I made my reservation, I wouldn't have chosen to dine there on Christmas Day. They would have earned three stars for being open during the holiday, but they lose one star due to the extremely long wait for our food. It seems that those who speak Spanish might enjoy it more, as no one spoke English very well when we left. Although no one was a native English speaker, they were friendly. The food does have a Caribbean flair.

The parking lot is simple and the lobby smells amazing. I didn't know it was a hotel, so remember it's a restaurant inside or more so for the hotel guests. There was no hostess or hostess podium, but we sat quickly from the bartender. The food was simple and delicious. I had the salmon and my friend had the best rib. The vibe was more lounge, but the food was great.

The buffet breakfast options were quite limited. While the cook did prepare the soft eggs and diet items well, he didn't quite make them to my liking. He was a nice guy, though. But, can you believe there were no pancakes? That feels very un-American!
