Caravela Fine Portuguese Cuisine

Good restaurant, but maybe I ordered the wrong things. Got tiger prawns and feijoada con mariscos. The pulpo appetizer wasn't what I expected and the Pasteis de Nata was , best part of the evening.

We dined here on New Year's Eve. All the usual restaurants in Doral were booked but this one had seating. My wife dined here previously with her amigas and wanted me to try it. We had the grilled seafood medley for two which was amazing! The owner/waiter also recommended a very nice white which went perfectly with the meal. Try Caravela's if you're tired of getting the typical fried fish in Doral. As someone who grew up on fresh seafood on Long Island, you won't be disappointed. The waiter also had that Portuguese/Spanish attitude which I find amusing.

We arrived early in the evening on Valentine's Day and were greeted by the owner who immediately sat near the front door. We were bigger from our waiter who gave us the menu. We ordered the seafood Paije, which was a lot for two $58.99. Then we ordered the green Portuguese wine. Service was fair, food was fair.

Delicious food in an intimate and cozy atmosphere; I was attended to promptly and cordially despite going at an unfrequented hour. The prices are very reasonable. The only note that could be improved is that I ordered a dessert cream cake and they seemed previously frozen, which modifies the texture. This site is a good option, especially for those who like cod.
