The Ship Inn - Dornoch Highlands

I came here as there was good reviews but i had a terrible experience. sat down was 30 minutes before someone took our drinks order, infact we had to ask if we could order drinks and there was only two other tables. and then only one drink came another 20 mins later to say they have ran out of ingredients for the cocktail i wanted so to chose another , which i did.. but took another 20 minutes and my food had arrived by this time. half way through my lunch they came back with half a drink made saying they have ran out of another ingredient for that drink also… an hour down with still no drink. food was good but service terrible and inexperienced. table next to us looked annoyed also waiting at table for some time with no menu given

Only spent one night The driver there has some fantastic views The rooms clean and tidy Might have to share a bathroom Not sure if there is an upgrade so you don't Staff very friendly and helpful Breakfast was great And the loveliest lady looked after everything Highly recommend

Stay here when up for work. Great rooms, lovely staff. Always look forward to a visit
