Mio Bistro - Dorset

In my opinion the menu is not very exciting. There are also up-charges which are surprising with these prices. The staff seemed to be struggling to keep up with the diners, although our server was a pro.

Have eaten here three times and never been disappointed. The mussels were exceptional this time. The chicken dish and the pork dish were both nicely done and cooked perfectly. Service was very good and not overbearing.

Eight of us had different first, second, third courses and drinks. The food was as fine as any of us had eaten crab soup, pork cop crepes with chicken, salads, salmon, cod gelato chocolate cake. Martina's etc all excellent in as nice atmosphere. Ended up $50/ person. Waitstaff not perfect but this is an elegant place for dinner in Vt

Food was delicious! Portions were generous. Cute, intimate atmosphere. Food came out super fast too. The FOH was a little slow and you could tell things weren't flowing. They might be new and it will probably come in time. The hostess worked hard to fill in the gaps.

Mio Bistro is an excellent restaurant. We ate outside and it was lovely. The service was friendly and attentive. We started with the mussels and shrimp appetizers I had a lovely chicken entree. The owners are so very attentive to the details of each item on their menu. Mio is one of a few restaurants that delivers on the menu descriptions. The team at Mio is far more interested in providing their guests with super culinary experience rather than trying to run a 40 table restaurant. This is how dining was meant to be. Do not miss eating at this very fine place.
