The landscape reminded us of an inn we stayed at in the Black Forrest in Germany, very quaint and relaxing, beautiful farmland vibe. The owner was out watering a hanging plant and greeted us without intruding on our enjoyment of the space. The interior at first continued that farmhouse feel, but soon turned to a 5-star level of service and ambiance. The food was amazing and we loved each tapa we ordered, especially fond of the pork and scallion chefs special. The wine selection was top notch, and we were pleasantly surprised how satisfied we were after only 5 tapas and some soba. Can't wait to come again, hoping to stay at the inn next time and enjoy their hospitality, full breakfast included!
My wife and I are regulars to Manchester Center, this trip we decided to venture out to more towns. We stopped in Dorset at Three Pairs Art Gallery, Beautiful gallery and the owner is really sweet. She was visiting with some friends who had some excellent suggestions also regulars to Dorset and Manchester. As we worked through the list based on food moods we ended up going to the West View Farm for something different Asian fusion. A type of food you'd expect to find in New York and usually done poorly. Not so when it comes to the food at the West View Farm. !!! Excellent food!!! I highly recommend it. Unique dumplings combinations, really good shrimp and pork (special) dumplings the edamame dumplings and truffles are on the menu, phenomenal. The shrimp and vegetables tempura are lite and crispy, not greasy or heavy. The scalion pancakes are crispy and lite as well all of the flavors pop, very fresh and very good. I'm definitely going back. The service is great the staff knows their food and can recomend what's going to suit your palate. Great food great service!!! Thanks!!!
Our favorite restaurant in the Manchester area. Ray is a great chef. Always coming up with new dishes. Best braised Short Ribs I ever had.
My wife and I recently moved to the Manchester VT area and we ordered takeout from the restaurant at the Inn at West View Farm for the first time last night. We got the seared rare salmon w/crispy rice, duck bao bun w/hoisin, pork dumplings, wonton soup and the dan dan pork lo mein. Ray Chen's farmhouse Asian cuisine is hands down the best Asian food that I've eaten in the U.S. and is on par or better than the best food that I've had in Asia (Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taiwan Din Tai Fung . I am blown away with the quality of his dishes. Please never leave Dorset Ray! 2 new lifelong customers :
We didn’t stay at the Inn (wish we had!! but a few local shops recommended the restaurant. And it was AMAZING!!! The food and the service are NYC worthy. Their Asian dishes knocked us out. Def a must-do in VT.
