Unfortunately this was not the case at all. I ordered a creamed cod and polenta, they brought me a spoonful of cod and two skimpy slices of polenta, one of which was burnt. All for the modest sum of €18... to which a €4 cover charge was added (unjustifiable because for example when my table neighbors went out they limited themselves to giving the tablecloth a quick sweep and didn't change it) and 4 euros for a medium bottle of water. Prices more than exaggerated. Absolutely never again. I left hungry after spending, in this case throwing away, €30.
5 of us booked for Easter dinner, the mixed fish starters were good and the grilled eel was excellent. So-so the two fruit tarts perhaps not of the day, too mushy. Prices too high considering that we are in a historic place in Venice. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
Embarrassing experience. We asked for a table for two and the waiter welcomed us by giving us the possibility to choose between two free tables. We choose the table at the back of the restaurant and the waiter tells us to follow him. Once we arrive near the table we see what is presumably the owner blocking the waiter with a sharp gesture of the hand giving him instructions not to let us sit. Then he approaches us saying that he had just received a telephone reservation and therefore could not give the table. Apart from the incredible timing, we then turned to the waiter again asking to be seated at the other table given that he had offered us two but he replied eh... I think that table is also booked . Very badly managed, creating great embarrassment for us as customers who were first seated and then immediately removed. Didn 't he say earlier that they were full and couldn 't handle any more tables? We didn 't like the episode nor the fake excuse for the phone call, clearly invented, which assumes that the customer is stupid. Stupid no, polite yes, we avoided discussions so as not to embarrass you in front of the room, but learn to manage these situations since it should be part of your job.
We’ve wasted our visit in here. I don’t know why this is rated high in Google when in fact the owner is racist. He just shouted at us for asking some parmessan cheese saying it is not served in Italy and if we want some we could get it ourselves! I mean, if it isn’t served here, he could’ve just said it nicely. What an unprofessional owner!!! Service: Dine in
