However, the room I stayed in was a bit small, which forced me to place my luggage in the bathroom at night to create more space. My main issue was the noise. Conversations in the hallway sounded as if they were happening right in my room, and when someone was showering, I could hear the water running through the pipes in the walls.
The rooms are designed for 2 to 3 guests and are on the smaller side, though our bathroom was surprisingly spacious. Each room is equipped with tea and coffee-making facilities, accompanied by a biscuit. For dinner, be sure to enjoy the ocean views at The Brasserie within the hotel, which features a diverse menu. My personal favorite was the medallion of beef served with roasted vegetables. This flavorful dish, paired with dauphinoise potatoes and a peppercorn sauce, was absolutely delicious! After your meal, you can unwind at the piano bar, where a talented pianist plays a variety of songs while you enjoy a drink or two. Overall, it was a delightful stay!
I was unable to take my planned trip due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, which included a party of five touring four different countries. Every other hotel I had booked with was kind enough to cancel and refund their customers without me even having to ask. However, this particular hotel has decided to retain all $973 of my funds. Their response feels entirely inhumane given the circumstances, as this situation was beyond my control but well within theirs to resolve. It’s disheartening to see them keep the money of a soon-to-be mother, knowing that they did nothing to earn it.
This hotel is beautiful, evoking a 1920s vibe as you walk through the lobby. However, the room was small and a bit too warm for my liking. The location is nice, just a short walk to Market Street and a reasonable distance to the ferry terminal. There isn't much in the immediate area, and the Isle of Man has some peculiar parking rules—make sure to grab a parking disc and hope for a good spot, as they can be hard to find. I wish the hotel had its own parking. I visited during the TT event, which always makes things quite hectic.
Great spot for an overnight stay! I visited for a few days and absolutely loved the beach view.
