During our first visit, there was a bit of a wait as a table of 6 arrived just before us and seemed to take their time deciding on drinks and croissants. However, once our order was taken, the food was worth the wait - the Brie, quince jelly, and baguette was delicious! The next morning, we decided to give it another try and were served almost immediately since we were the only ones there at that time. The continental breakfast was also really good. Overall, it's definitely worth a visit and the shop downstairs is also worth checking out.
Today, I am basing my review solely on my customer experience. I have been a patron of No Name Cafe since they first opened. The food and coffee are consistently delicious and fresh. However, my visit today was marred by a frustrating encounter. Initially, I had to wait for a staff member to finish texting before I could place my order. When it started raining, I asked if my party could move upstairs to eat, and was told it was fine. However, once we were upstairs, we were abruptly informed that we could not have our orders there as they were different and at a different price. I understand that dining in the cafe may come at a premium, but I was willing to pay the difference. To make matters worse, I overheard the same staff member badmouthing us to other customers downstairs. It is a shame, as I have always enjoyed No Name Cafe, but I will not be returning after this experience.
The restaurant boasts a beautiful location and stylish decor. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the food and coffee are delicious. However, it is worth noting that the cleanliness of the restroom floor could be improved, as well as ensuring the tissue bins are emptied regularly. It's a shame that this otherwise lovely establishment is let down by the state of the toilets.
Really lovely little deli/cafe with an upstairs bistro in the heart of this pretty town. There are outside tables (although some people seemed to be bringing food from other outlets when we were there). Good choice of food and friendly, hard working staff
Met a friend for lunch. Delicious soup chosen from a great menu. Lovely atmosphere friendly staff. Will definitely call back another time.
