We were in the rose for two nights, we had booked dinner both evenings. Unfortunately, it fell back to expectations. the service was bad, the staff could not ask about eating and had to find out from the kitchen. I had the shinitzel and my man had the hail. there were no jersey kings around 7:20 as side, so we had to have chips. two bowls came with our head we had only ordered, but assumed it was a gesture. the seaweed was beautiful a break part overdue, but it was missing from the right side. the carving was huge, quite thick and full. I could just eat half. overall the meal was lacking money, the service lacked knowledge and warmth. we were charged for two jersey kings at £12, this had to be changed in chips x1 for £4, which caused more confusion. the menu is small and due to a not great meal we have canceled our booking the following evening. the breakfast was excellent, however, as it was at the breakfast.
The sunday roast is absolutely delicious. the Piso sauce escalates it mainly other roast make it exceptional. very expensive, but the ambiente, style relaxed atmosphere make it all worth it.
We had a wonderful dinner in the rose. the foods and cocktails were excellent and there were some interesting dishes on the menu with local ingredients. we loved the orange filled coral olives and parker rolls and the cherry cocktails.
Lovely meal, lovely setting. Excellent staff, couldn’t rate it highly enough and can’t wait to come back
