Timberline Inn - Dowagiac

The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent and served hot. There is a good variety of dishes to choose from. The owners are very involved and friendly, making for a great dining experience. The daily specials are tempting, especially if they have the grilled or roasted options. The location is a bit off the beaten path, but the journey is worth it.

I never had a bad meal in the timberline. the walleye and cash are my favorites, but the fried chicken is also delicious. at our recent visit our server ann was very attentive, but not excessively friendly. my man had escargot as his appetizer and shaved over it. I had the coconut wars, which was excellent. cooked for perfection. he had cash and I had walleye. both were perfectly cooked, came hot and were perfectly seasoned. they have a nice pouring out for wein (the glass was almost full) the prices are good for the quality.

I decided to try this restaurant with a friend and we were both disappointed. I usually don't leave negative reviews, but this experience was not great. Our waitress was friendly, but only offered us one drink during our entire time there. I had to ask for another drink, and she never offered refills to anyone else at the table. They were out of many items on the menu, and we had to wait a long time to receive our food - not because they were busy, but because of the lack of available dishes and slow service. The portion sizes were small for the price, but the food itself was good. I don't think I would return to this restaurant.

This restaurant is fantastic! The service and food are top-notch. If you want a relaxing and delicious meal, this is the place to go. The menu offers a variety of options, so you won't be disappointed.
