Parkers' Restaurant Bar - Downers Grove

A restaurant with consistency well prepared food. I like the fact that entree plate includes a vegetable and or starch. The bread plate that accompanies the meal is a nice starch. The price has gotten on the high side. With no appetizers, dinner sides or desserts and only five drinks shared by three people, the bill with gratuity was $313. We will return but very selectively.

Invited several people to join us but when they checked out the menu prices, decided it was too expensive to join us. Had whitefish $38 and skipped the salad because of costs. The fish with spinach and mashed potatoes was excellent. We usually stay far from the lounge because the music is too loud for our taste. Most of the other entrees were more than our comfortable price points so in the future, we'll probably go elsewhere. Also felt the room was not warm enough and asked the waitress to see if could raise the room temp. While we like Parker's, we will probably go elsewhere because of the increased prices.

Parkers is close to our home and we drive by it frequently. Hadn't been here in years and the menu was very seafood based back then. The menu now has more options for non-seafood lovers and we like the changes. Started with clam chowder and lobster bisque, both were great. I ordered the duck, my husband, the lamb chops. Both dishes were really very good. Our server Stephanie was great (friendly and attentive without being overbearing) and she also had a large party to serve as well...she handled it like a pro. In fact, everyone from the hostess to the water/bread person was good at their role. Dessert was the chocolate flourless brownie and that did not disappoint, either. So glad we decided to eat here, will definitely go back again. Hopefully for the Sunday Jazz brunch they have. As far as the value, we've eaten at all the steak places nearby and I think Parkers is right up there, and surpasses a couple of them, for value and quality of experience.

Parker's is and has always been one of favorite dining establishments. The ambience and classy casual feel in the dining is comfortable and attractive. Service was tremendous!!! We always love the food especially the steak, and lobster bisque soup ? We will be back!

Food and service are fabulous, although a bit pricey. Noise level made it difficult to hear the guests at our table. Also, temperature was very cold. We requested they increase the temperature which they did, but it was adjusted back down a short while later.
