Only cash. very busy, but many server, so that the waits are running fast. the squid was big, crispy, but a little overcooked. the chips were plentiful and a bit soggy. good value for money and good service.

Absolutely massive parts of superchips from this newly opened chippy. I wanted to have a big part until I saw a medium. medium for me, small for my wife, and the fish fantastic.

Since I started working at Downham Fryers, I've been getting used to my new role, coming from a background as a machine operator. As the days went by, I became familiar with the regular customers, and I must say, it's a lovely and friendly place to either eat in or take away. The fish and chips here are absolutely delicious! It's perfect for those with celiac disease because the chips are fried separately, and the fish is cooked without any batter contamination. This has become my go-to spot for fish and chips, as I’ve never had any gluten issues here.
